As someone who loves the Far Cry formula and will take my fix wherever I can get it, revisiting Far Cry 5’s slightly reworked open-world map in New Dawn proves there’s still quite a bit of joy

I think if Ubisoft had actually invested in the game and made it longer and into a far cry 6, then it would certainly have been the best far cry ever. 2.

The map is more condensed, but you've also got whole new areas with expeditions for big setpiece moments. I'd argue the smaller map works out, given that fast travel takes time and resources to unlock. 4. Zuazzer. • 5 yr. ago. I'd recommend Far Cry 5 for the first time. New Dawn is a side game so its smaller and has more wacky features like the light RPG, which is very different to traditional FC games. Its also a direct sequel to FC5. It is cheaper though which could be an important factor. 2.
I couldn’t tell any difference playing on console but I know there are some nice texture packs you could use. Far cry 5 is on sale for like $20 CAD but I got it after new dawn. I think new dawn is the better option, the map is less bland and just all around looks gorgeous. I'm starting all the farcrys backwards.
