For Mages, taking at least a couple skills from your Specialization tends to be pretty important, because each of them has a Passive skill that lets you regenerate your Mana significantly faster. If you don't take anything from a Specialization, expect to be stuck with just staff attacks a lot more often.
Fair enough. I'm into it. I think some abilities would look and work better than others, and I feel as though I can just handwave it as the Inquisitor getting extra cross class training.
6. Once you unlock Skyhold, all party members' specializations are also unlocked. But, the game currently doesn't actually add the new skill line to them until they're in your party.
