After God expels them from the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve âknewâ each other, i.e., they had sex, and Eve conceived a child. This child was Cain, their firstborn son. They then have a second son, Abel.
Adamand the Eve knew the punishment for sin (Genesis 2:17), but they sinned anyway, going against the plain commandment of God. However, the second creation story is often interpreted as prescriptive of the female being in a submissiveârather than a sharedârole. In Genesis 2, Adam was crafted by Godâs hands first, while Eve was drawn from Adamâs rib. This leads some to assume men have

Adamblamed Eve; Eve blamed the serpent. Even so, they still received punishment for their disobedience: God kicked them out of the garden. It may be human nature for us to blame others for our mistakes. While doing so may deflect our faults onto others, it doesnât remove the consequences. Just ask Moses, Adam, and Eve.
