As mentioned in other comment, DMC is not like GoW or Batman. It sounds like you have yet to get going into the game. Devil May Cry tend to start with just a few combos but once you start spending orbs and getting more tools, the amount of combos you can pull off are nearly limitless, and the game becomes pretty much a playground for you to experiment, chain them, and reach the highest rank
Remember that these are just opinions on the ending. I'd like to hear what you all think on this topic as well. On the final r/DevilMayCry stream last night, I defeated over 99 demons, but that's where the counter capped off and the ending stated I killed 99+ enemies specifically. The bonus art had an additional phrase to reward me.
Normal ending in DMC5 This is the proper ending, and you’ll get it no matter what – you just need to complete the game. From here on out, it’s spoiler time. Dante sure fails aswell at the start but it's not that what cuts Nero deep, it'a how Dante treat him. There is also the fact that he feels like he betrayed Dante's trust since Yamato got stolen from him after pizza uncle entrusted tge sword to him. What the New Timeline Means. The ending is my favorite part of the entire show. At first it feels like a grim and sad story, god ends the world, satan will be reborn, and the cycle continues. Until you realize that we are witnessing the time when the tides turn. Satan is no longer a being that cannot feel love or empathy.
